Autotaps Aftercare & Maintanance

Please take notice: Water may be HOT from last use. Always check the water temperature is at a safe or COLD position (ATT-Series) before usage.

If you have a continuos water flow problem
The control valve inside the Autotaps may be dry if the water keeps running after first use. Should this happen do the following Let the water to run for 3 minutes and then turn the water off. After 20 minutes, press and hold the Reset button for 3 seconds to reset Autotaps. Now turn the tap handle to ‘ON’ position and it’s ready to use. If the problem persists, repeat a, b and c steps above.

Leaks
If you have leaks between Autotaps and your existing tap head after installation, please make sure you have used the right rubber washer (refer to ‘quick installation’ guide section for details)

Cleaning
Always keep your Autotaps surface clean and dry. DO NOT IMMERSE AUTOTAPS IN WATER! If cleaning is required, use damp towel or cotton cloth to wipe gently and avoid any rocking or violent motion.
TIP: Alternatively, you can remove the Autotaps unit completely and re-installed after cleaning.

Battery Installation
Make sure the batteries are installed correctly (‘+’ positive and ‘-‘ negative charge)

Auto-block detection function
Water will stop running after 1 minute of continuous flow of water when object is detected in sensor range. A green light will begin to flash to indicate ‘block-detect’ function for you to remove the object in sensor range.

Undetected objects
Objects of dark colour or transparent objects may not be easily detected. Press manual override button to use manual operation when objects are not detected.

Obstruction
Do not obstruct water flow into drainage system when Autotaps is unattended. During a long absence from premises, it’s best you turn the main tap to OFF position.

Erratic water flow
If Autotaps keeps turning on and off erratically, try and reset Autotaps unit by pressing the Reset button for 3 seconds.

Installing Autotaps
Be careful when installing the Autotaps, please note that any damage made to your unit or existing tap is not manufacturer’s liability.

Erratic sensor detection
1. If you experience Autotaps infrared sensor behaving erratically.
2. Turn tap to OFF position,
3. Wipe the infrared sensor face clean of dust or steam
4. Turn tap back to ON position to test.
5. If problem persist, try resetting the sensor range (Click here for instruction) -
Prolonging life of Autotaps
To avoid any damage, DO NOT rock/swing the Autotaps unit or hit violently.

Autotaps malfunction
If Autotaps malfunctions, press and hold the Reset button for 3 seconds. If the problem persists remove and reinstall all the batteries to reset the unit.

Hard water
In case you live in ‘hard-water’ area, it is recommended that you regularly check Autotaps water filter section (once or twice a month) for limescale build-up.

Autotaps filter
The mesh filter section will gather limescale.
To inspect or clean:
1. Turn tap to OFF position
2. Remove Autotaps (using hexnut wrench provided)
3. Inspect and remove any limescale build-up (tipping Autotaps upside down and give it a little shake)
4. Once done, install Autotaps following ‘NO. 5’ explanation section in ‘Quick Installation Guide’ above..
